forsaken perceptions

Deceiving glances.
Superficial conversations.
Inanimate objects.
Sashimi buffet with K, T, KP, G and S at Kiseki which wasn't that fantastic sadly. The crabs weren't fresh! :(

Round 2 sooooon (?) with MH and YH! This time round I shall recommend the one at City Square Mall! Went there with the extended family once after exams and it was naise! BUT I think there wasn't any salmon belly. BUT BUT there's nice salmon avocado sushi ♥ And chocolate fondue hahahah I REMEMBERED MY SIBLINGS CAMPED THERE.

EG1108 lab yesterday was horrible. The TAs were nice tho, which was quite a change from last sem's PC1431 TAs (there were 3 of them) but NONE, like srsly, NONE could even understand our questions and were v impatient and unwilling to help us! Evil. Haha the TA taught us how to use the breadboard (or sth like that I forgot the exact name) LOL we went in without even knowing basic stuff like this! Still dread labs, it's like entering some foreign land with equipment that's too advanced for me to comprehend. It's like K.Ong's lab demo last time in physics lab when she used all the funny equipment that we couldn't rly be bothered to take note of!

One more lab for this sem :D

Headache has been getting worse this week. Pill popping like a chill pill. 3x panadol each day omg headache y so bad?!

The brother will be heading for SP this April. I'm glad that he knows what he wants to do and he is a step closer towards more freedom, finally a breather from the mundane-ness (IS THERE SUCH A WORD?!) of the schooling system. Yay to more lunches with him come April hehe together with the cousin :D

The sister received her results a week ago and it reminded me of the time when I got mine back. Dreaded memories. Hope things work out in one way or another and she doesn't get too disheartened. Chris recommended me this book, The Alchemist by Paul Coelho when I was in her shoes last year too. Shall get hold of that book for her and hopefully she can come to a decision.

Shall end with my fav quote from the novel. (:

“All you have to do is contemplate a simple grain of sand, and you will see in it all the marvels of creation. Listen to your heart. It knows all things, because it came from the Soul of the World, and it will one day return there.”

HAH i just deactivated my FB account. One distraction down finally. Need to concentrate on my tasks at hand and deadlines to meet. Missed the SMU and NUS scholarship/application deadlines even after M reminded me of it. My bad. Bad time management + procrastination. Wondering if I made a mistake in not applying for UK/US unis, since the cost of studying med/dentistry in UK is the same as studying in Aust. The whole of the last week interning has been a test of my patience. Yes impatient patients testing the patience of an 18 year old intern who happens to have zilch experience in PR skills. I don't know how the nurses can deal with them over the phone, like they scold you over the phone and I just passed the phone to the nurse to deal with him/her and when he/she arrived for his/her appt, I glared very hard at the said person, of course being a part of the clinic means I have to give that mandatory smile so heh fake smile to the rescue~ I think i have some bipolar problem cos I can...

Thrashed a couple of letters, deleted the photos... Can...

Milestones in life

23 Jun 17 - Got our wedding bands! :) 26 Jun 17 - Settled our bridal package! :) *** I thought I should document this down somewhere - this whole wedding planning journey hasn't been very smooth-sailing. We both had our fair share of unhappiness and quarrels over what we want in our wedding. Deep down, if given a choice... I wouldn't want to plan a wedding. I don't have a dream wedding. I still do not understand the fuss behind planning for one, looking for the perfect dress and venue. I would very much prefer to be spending all this money on our future home; unfortunately this isn't the case but we respect our parents' wants and requests. But I'm glad I'm experiencing this with G, because in all our squabbles, he's always the one taking a step back and trying to give in :( And that's why I realized how ridiculous I was. Nonetheless, I am excited at the thought of marriage (not so much on the wedding oops) and with that I hope this optimism...
