take a walk on the wild side

fat girl ftw.

tuanyuanfan @ gparents' house, sitting at the teppanyaki side=bbqed food and not boiled ones. but still v yummy

cny first day - gparents' house again, followed by grandaunt's place. the much anticipated kueh pie tee was eaten up by our distant fatty cousins grrrrr. so much for saving our stomach space at gparents' house earlier.

cny second day
- camped at gparents' house, grandmum's sisters and their families visited. mega boring, idk anyone there at all just collect ang paos only $_$

cny third day
- lunch at dad's half indian friend's place. omg super nice fusion of food: indian curry, malay beef rendang, roti sth, chinese chup chye yummy ttm! then followed by dinner at bon's place

bon has got to be the nicest host ever - shabu shabu, wine, dessert! i think we messed up his house and there were a lot of leftovers but it was still great fun, esp watching him make his blueberry-apple pie which suddenly made cooking seem so easy.

tmr my maternal side cousins will be coming over so it's yet another day of feasting. this time round i shall go vegetarian and stay away from the teppanyaki side of the table hahaha.

cut calories+exercise=fit girl ready to meet fat bf on feb 20!

it's so weird how i thought they were both going strong and they just broke up like that. so scary lol so what G predicted earlier on was right. 2 years plus and the relationship just crumbles hurrrr freaky! i shall become a spinster so all my worries shall be solved; no need to worry about facing an ugly divorce when your marriage is barely into its 3rd year or so.

but even so, i'll be a cool spinster with a nice looking house and cute adopted kids whom i shall name ethan and ethene yesssss nu qiang ren!

limits

HAH i just deactivated my FB account. One distraction down finally. Need to concentrate on my tasks at hand and deadlines to meet. Missed the SMU and NUS scholarship/application deadlines even after M reminded me of it. My bad. Bad time management + procrastination. Wondering if I made a mistake in not applying for UK/US unis, since the cost of studying med/dentistry in UK is the same as studying in Aust. The whole of the last week interning has been a test of my patience. Yes impatient patients testing the patience of an 18 year old intern who happens to have zilch experience in PR skills. I don't know how the nurses can deal with them over the phone, like they scold you over the phone and I just passed the phone to the nurse to deal with him/her and when he/she arrived for his/her appt, I glared very hard at the said person, of course being a part of the clinic means I have to give that mandatory smile so heh fake smile to the rescue~ I think i have some bipolar problem cos I can...

Gonna be so freaking hard-pressed for time that I don't even have time for myself (=shopping and threading date with M. Holy cow we have been hairy eyebrow monsters *points below* for the past 2 months) Monday- consultation, biz meeting Tuesday- consultation, musical Wednesday- prog exam Thursday- tuition Friday- bbq Sat- EG1109 quiz, tuition, class dinner ^^ Hope that I can make it for class dinner damn it, the tuition kid's mum is being a complete biatchhhhhhh about the tuition timings. Die die must also put it on a Saturday even though she's free on a Sunday :( Amidst the busy-ness, I guess I'm slowly letting go of things and memories. Thrashed a couple of letters, deleted the photos... Can...

Milestones in life

23 Jun 17 - Got our wedding bands! :) 26 Jun 17 - Settled our bridal package! :) *** I thought I should document this down somewhere - this whole wedding planning journey hasn't been very smooth-sailing. We both had our fair share of unhappiness and quarrels over what we want in our wedding. Deep down, if given a choice... I wouldn't want to plan a wedding. I don't have a dream wedding. I still do not understand the fuss behind planning for one, looking for the perfect dress and venue. I would very much prefer to be spending all this money on our future home; unfortunately this isn't the case but we respect our parents' wants and requests. But I'm glad I'm experiencing this with G, because in all our squabbles, he's always the one taking a step back and trying to give in :( And that's why I realized how ridiculous I was. Nonetheless, I am excited at the thought of marriage (not so much on the wedding oops) and with that I hope this optimism...
