Hello 2010

2009 came by and went so fast, leaving behind a hell lot of memorable (and some i-rly-want-to-forget-asap) events.

Entering RJ. Yes, it's been a right choice, but I feel I've became like more apathetic (?). I seemed to have lost my initial goals in life i.e. *cough* pilot+vet+gynae+pedophile. Like in SC, I wanted to go to RJ because of the presence of a certain someone, the uniform and RJ's really cool blocks.

Then I was really glad that I was in 6M cos there were altogether 4 of us SC girls, cos SC girls=gossip+bitch+good listening ears+open muggers+cute guys lookout partners. Yeah cos gradually I soon came to realize that closet muggers indeed exist in RJ. So weird right, but I like it that 6M has a lot of JAE students who are pretty easy to talk to, bitch to and confide in as well. And yes, of course, REALLY HELPFUL. Despite how stressful and mugger our class is, I'm rly rly rly thankful for such classmates cos I turn to them most of the time to complain and complain and complain about sucky results, screwed up future etc.

PW. Charlotte Tay Ng is the bombs <3 Love you heehee. She slogged so much for PW. I'll rmbr the nights where we stayed up so late tgt on MSN and the times that we spent at Raja block from morn till late afternoon (just the two of us grrr) just to tidy up loose ends of our GPP/WR/OP. Mt Ophir. I rmbr falling off that rocky thing when we were climbing up the waterfall and YW (when he was still sane) pulled me up heh. And Michelle being as clumsy followed suit after me, and she also fell off BUT she almost pulled YW down as well. Yes, I still can't believe it, but i still rmbr that part. HEEHEE. Hmmm but the last night was epic. Idk why but michelle, brent and i were still awake on the stage even at arnd 3am and brent and michelle were emoing (emo couple!). I was supposed to join them, but instead fell asleep on the stage haha wth. Then after this was CTs and promos and results. I'll study harder, yes I will >.<

Project LEARN trip to Lusaran, Cebu. An eye opener indeed. The kids there were lovable <3 Sometimes I think what I would miss most is their simple way of life there. I've never ever heard them complain about having to walk home in the slippery mud, or taking like 1-2 hours to walk from home to school each day. We never encountered any beggars in the village, but in the city, it was a complete different scenario. The little children in the city are trained pickpockets, they grope your legs but actually they're just trying to steal your money. We saw little boys playing with whatever that they could find in the village. They seemed to even find fun out of beheaded dolls (just the heads) and old car tyres.

Countdown 2010. Talked to Steph for most of the event. I realised I'm an idealist but Steph somehow kinda inspired me to learn to be more independent and career focused, so no more tai tai dream haha! She's cool cos she knows what she wants, like srsly, whilst im still... undecided argh.

And yessss, a Big Fat Thank You to you for tolerating all my tandrums and emo dayzzz and for being such a fat nice companion on the MRT rides home almost every single day and for all the kinder joys and the funny letters <3

Yeaaaa, i guess that pretty much concludes 2009.

Ah shit im scared. Idk what'll happen if they find out :(

HAH i just deactivated my FB account. One distraction down finally. Need to concentrate on my tasks at hand and deadlines to meet. Missed the SMU and NUS scholarship/application deadlines even after M reminded me of it. My bad. Bad time management + procrastination. Wondering if I made a mistake in not applying for UK/US unis, since the cost of studying med/dentistry in UK is the same as studying in Aust. The whole of the last week interning has been a test of my patience. Yes impatient patients testing the patience of an 18 year old intern who happens to have zilch experience in PR skills. I don't know how the nurses can deal with them over the phone, like they scold you over the phone and I just passed the phone to the nurse to deal with him/her and when he/she arrived for his/her appt, I glared very hard at the said person, of course being a part of the clinic means I have to give that mandatory smile so heh fake smile to the rescue~ I think i have some bipolar problem cos I can...

Gonna be so freaking hard-pressed for time that I don't even have time for myself (=shopping and threading date with M. Holy cow we have been hairy eyebrow monsters *points below* for the past 2 months) Monday- consultation, biz meeting Tuesday- consultation, musical Wednesday- prog exam Thursday- tuition Friday- bbq Sat- EG1109 quiz, tuition, class dinner ^^ Hope that I can make it for class dinner damn it, the tuition kid's mum is being a complete biatchhhhhhh about the tuition timings. Die die must also put it on a Saturday even though she's free on a Sunday :( Amidst the busy-ness, I guess I'm slowly letting go of things and memories. Thrashed a couple of letters, deleted the photos... Can...

Milestones in life

23 Jun 17 - Got our wedding bands! :) 26 Jun 17 - Settled our bridal package! :) *** I thought I should document this down somewhere - this whole wedding planning journey hasn't been very smooth-sailing. We both had our fair share of unhappiness and quarrels over what we want in our wedding. Deep down, if given a choice... I wouldn't want to plan a wedding. I don't have a dream wedding. I still do not understand the fuss behind planning for one, looking for the perfect dress and venue. I would very much prefer to be spending all this money on our future home; unfortunately this isn't the case but we respect our parents' wants and requests. But I'm glad I'm experiencing this with G, because in all our squabbles, he's always the one taking a step back and trying to give in :( And that's why I realized how ridiculous I was. Nonetheless, I am excited at the thought of marriage (not so much on the wedding oops) and with that I hope this optimism...
